« Avenue Productions Reviews History Of A Leading Talent & Model Agency   The LG 47LF7700 TV - A First Look »

by Jason Cross

Buying a new TV is always a fun job. However, with the huge variety of brands, features and capabilities now on offer, it is certainly not an easy one to carry out. This article will look into Sony KDL-32EX603 TV and weigh up some of the features it offers.

Purchasing a TV is not an easy thing to do with such a great variety of models and features to look out for. What you should do is decide what available features are most important for you and stick to the models that deliver them. Once you have reduced your list to a more manageable length you can start making choices based on price and style.

The refresh rate specification is a little known feature that is very important for image quality and in order to avoid blurred images. It refers to the speed at which frames are refreshed on the TV. Real electronic buffs will notice that this model does not have the top of the range 100 Hz refresh rate. You will have to go for the Sony KDL-32EX703 for that specification.

This model was just released March 2010 and is new member of Sony EX500 range. One of the best features of this series is its use of LED Edge backlighting. This technology provides a greater contrast allowing for blacker blacks and whiter whites. You will notice this extra contrasting capability in the more vivid colors this TV can deliver.

The set comes with Wi-Fi capabilities ready to install. You will just need to insert a wireless adapter or USB and you can link your set to other devices in your home. This will avoid the complications and annoyance of having to use cables.

Quality sound lovers will be pleased with the surround technology Sony has included in this TV. It uses an S-Force front surround, plus a digital amplifier and Dolby 5.1 capabilities. This works in tandem with invisible 10w + 10w speakers.

The motion flow is at 50Hz, you will be able to enjoy smooth and sharp pictures even in fast frames. However, if fast frame action is your thing you might want to look into the EX703 that provides 100 Hz and Image Blur reduction. A great feature is how easily this set links with the rest of your home devices. Laptops, gaming consoles and digital satellite all link easily through its many connection inputs.

If you are looking for a high performance TV with great sound and all the Sony image enhancing features, but do not want to pay the high price tag, this might be the model for you. Boasting great image quality, high resolution on a large, but not too large, screen, this model has the makings of a bestseller TV. It also comes with preset scene selections that will adjust the sound settings to the kind of film or program you are watching. Try the True Cinema setting for that extra cinema feel.

The only con or disadvantage I can find is that it does not come with 3D capabilities. This new feature is still reserved for the most expensive units and you must be ready to spend a little more to get your hands on that specification at this stage. As mentioned above one of the greatest advantages of this TV is how easily it can be connected to the rest of your Home Entertainment devices. At this price range the Sony KDL-32EX703 is certainly a winner.
