They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that beauty is subjective. Celebrities, as public figures, are constantly being criticized by the public. The Oscars 2010 Awards is one of many arenas to showcase the best designs in fashion. Fashion designers compete for the chance to design the dresses of various celebrities especially for females as they walk the celebrated red carpet aisle. A person might consider the dress of a celebrity beautiful and alluring while others might consider the same to be boring and unappealing.
With the red carpet of the 2010 Oscars long gone, who do you think were the best dressed and worst dressed celebrities? I had the chance to watch the Oscars 2010 Red Carpet yesterday on my home computer and based on my subjective opinion, here are some of the celebrities I considered to be the worst dressed.
For the worst dressed male celebrity, I would choose Robert Downey Jr. Just look at his shades, bow tie, shoes, and stonewashed jeans. He looks like he never left the set of Sherlock Holmes. I can’t understand why he would dress that way at the Oscars. I know, he probably wanted to be in the limelight as the worst dressed male celebrity in the Oscars 2010 Red Carpet.
For the worst dressed female celebrity, I would unfortunately choose Gabourey Sidibe. Sorry Gaby but you should have lost some weight before the ceremony. If she lost some of those fats, she would have looked absolutely stunning in that dress. Her acting skills in the movie “Precious” were grand though. Congratulations to her for being a heavy-set girl with a budding career. And at least she wasn’t wearing Downey’s revolting stonewashed jeans.
As I said at the start, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This was just according to my subjective opinion in judging the dresses of celebrities at the recently held Oscars 2010 Awards. How about you? Do you agree with me? Feel free to voice your own opinion.
