I read quite recently that “staying in” is the new “going out” if that makes any sense. Maybe people don’t have the money to entertain at restaurants and the like as they used or perhaps there are more home entertainment systems that make staying in just as much fun as a night on the town. One thing that takes a bit of beating is watching a good movie on a Friday night with your loved one or family. Sharing your all time favorite movies at home can be great fun. With all the recent technology, our movie watching experience has never been better. Indeed, watching your favorite movie in the new format of blu-ray or HD-DVD on a top range home theater system can’t be beat.

What is the best HDTV for me?

by Ryan Alberts

When going over TV evaluations person should actually search for key features that will assist them how to choose the decent TV depending on what type of media they plan on using with the system. There are many features and tech specs that are used within any HD Television evaluations system.

Some of the most crucial are: Native res. - this is essentially the amount of horizontal pixels x vertical pixels that the HDTV can show. The higher the native resolution the better. A 1080p display will get a native resolution of 1920×1080 and any native resolution lower than that is not 1080p. Any native resolution smaller than 1280×720 (720p) is not true HD and one should really be opting a system with 1080p res. as the costs now have come down.

Amazing Samsung LN52A850 Review

by Ryan Alberts

This set is amazing. I had a 61″ that had a effective image, but It wasn’t anywhere near as good as this. The picture quality is incredible. When shots involve people in a room for instance it’s like looking in on them through a window each detail is bright, deep, and crisp. And that is with SD.

I taped some old black & White shows and they have never looked so great. HD is nothing short of spectacular. This set can be set to have a 60 hz or 120 hz refresh rate.

The 60 is good, but the 120 gets it to the next level. The higher refresh rate gives near Blue Ray quality to shots where there is far details in the background. These details become visible with the higher refresh rate. I’m watching perfectly with no artifacts in the picture at all.
