Cast includes Sienna Miller, Gentleman Pearce, Hayden Christensen, Jimmy Fallon, Jack Huston, and Shawn Hatosy. (90 minutes, 2006)
Clue: Stupid joke whodunit based on the trendy board game of the same name with all the recognizable characters Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard, Miss Red, et al. assembled for a murderous day in a Victorian mansion. Everyone tries extremely hard bet there is nothing they can do to save this weak film. Cast includes Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Ponder, and Howard Hesseman. (87 minutes, 1985)
The Abyss: A nuclear sub has gone down. The government seeks assistance, from nearby oil workers, in their investigation. When they go down to investigate, they make a shocking discovery. There are mysterious things in the depths of the oceans.
Peter Pan Return To Neverland: An animated family film of a Peter Pan adventure. Wendy’s daughter Jane is an unbeliever. When Captain Hook steals her away to Neverland, she must learn to believe if she wants to escape back to the real world.
Dillinger: Rugged gangster story written by Philip Jordan. This is one of the best B films of its kind albeit a key bank robbery is made up of stock footage lifted from Fritz Lang’s You Only Live Once. Cast includes Edmund Lowe, Anne Jeffreys, Lawrence Tierney, Eduardo Ciannelli, Elisha Chef, and Marc Lawrence. (70 minutes, 1945)
Suicide Kings: A group of desperate kids kidnap a slick underworld mob boss and keep him prisoner to boost leverage in the kidnapping of Thomas’ sibling. Although throughout one long day, the mobster Walken, in fine form measures up his captors and plays on their weaknesses. Well planned piece, with some excellent tale twists and first-rate acting jobs. Cast includes Christopher Walken, Denis Leary, Henry Thomas, Sean Patrick Flanery, Laura San Giacomo, and Brad Garrett. (106 minutes, 1998)
Believe in Me: Donovan moves to a tiny Oklahoma town in 1964 to take a teaching job, although when he arrives he learns he’s been assigned to coach the girls basketball team. What’s more, the girls have no self respect and little help from the school. Genuine heartland tale ascends above its recognizable underdog recipe. Donovan and Mathis as his supportive spouse are first rate. Cast includes Jeffrey Donovan, Samantha Mathis, Bruce Dem, Bob Gunton, Heather Matarazzo, Alicia Lagano, and Chris Ellis. (108 minutes, 2007)
