« BD390: Picking A Home Theater System   Some Great Ways To Find Bands To Hire For Your Party »

by Jason Thomas

If you are to believe the producers of the futures high tech toys and gizmos, 3D is the means of the future. Everything is getting ready to be 3-D.

TVs are 3D and game platforms are going to be three-dimensional, as well as hand held game systems such as the Nintendo DS are going to be three-dimensional. Nintendo showed off its new hand held device, the DSi 3D, to the world and by all accounts, it delivers in the 3D department. You can even turn the three-dimensional effects off if you prefer.

The filmmakers have undoubtedly been pushing everything down our throats in three-dimensional for the past two or three years and now the TV creators and video game designers are trying to do the same. So, do we have to have to everything in three-dimensional or is 2D still good for most of us? A lot of individuals are combating the desire to buy these new and expensive TVs, and maybe at this time, while many people are still worrying about real world expenses and having the ability to pay their bills, isn’t the best time to attempt to make people move to brand new technology.

Then again, the latest high tech has never been for the average individuals, it was created for prosperous people with disposable income that do not have to fret about everyday expenses. They are the ones that will get to try out this newly released technology and if plenty of them do, then the costs may possibly be suitable when we will be ready to upgrade in a few years. However the even bigger question is; if the 3D technology makes watching television and movies, as well as playing games, that much greater if even better at all? It perhaps boils down to personal liking.

If you are the kind of person that enjoys seeing 3D movies at the theater and you do not mind wearing those ridiculous glasses at home, then you probably would want to try the new stuff. However if you don’t particularly care about all that and the glasses give you headaches, then the only thing that you may perhaps be concerned about is if you’re missing out on an awesome experience by not upgrading.
