How To Clean Cymbals

by Amy Nutt

Are you looking for information on how to clean your cymbals without necessarily making them rust? Are you wondering what solutions to use in cleaning the grime off the cymbals? Then you should read this article. Drummers have different tastes and this is the reason you often find some cymbals looking new and shiny while others look old and used.

These all depend on the choice of the drummers. Some drummers like the cymbal looking used and grimy thus giving the impression that it is often frequently used while others hate to see the cymbals dirty and grimy. The look of a new cymbal often excites people like this and gets them itching for the sticks. The truth is that whether cleaned or not, cymbals give off the same sound although some drummers say when it is not clean, and use over a certain period, it give off a “warm” sound.

What Makes the Xbox 360 Run?

by Larry Moon

The public’s interest in gaming consoles rises and falls with the ability of the company to provide a new gaming experience. However, when you come out with a new and improved product it usually comes with a not so improved price. With prices going up Microsoft was the first to step up and provide a new gaming experience that took on the higher price but sold over 20 million units. They came out with the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 was the pioneer of the seventh generation gaming consoles and provide an unreal gaming experience.

The Xbox 360 will come with everything you need to hook it up to a standard television, or a HD television. You will get the best quality out of a HDTV with 1080p resolution, but by still hooking the Xbox 360 to a regular television will give you the experience of new generation gaming.

Understand that becoming a better guitarist means becoming a better musician as well. When developing your musical skills, make sure to think beyond skills that are specific to guitar.

Of course you will be working on many guitar skills: various guitar techniques, chords, scales, soloing, etc., but don’t neglect other skills that are not guitar specific like, ear training (also called aural skills), songwriting, improvising, creativity, reading, music theory, etc.

Its not uncommon to see the player’s advice be summed up in a grand total of three words: Practice! Practice!! Practice!!! Well of course we all know that practicing is the main ingredient. But rarely are we told much more than that. In my long quest to become an excellent player and to help my students do the same I carefully took note of what worked and what didn’t. What parts conventional wisdom is accurate and what parts are (at least in my opinion) are not.

Prior to The Beatles, most bands usually stuck to a simple guitars, bass, and drums instrumentation for their songs. The Beatles began to experiment with different types of instrumentation. This article is focused on seven of the Beatles greatest tracks which feature a piano.

“Hey Jude” is definitely a classic. It was a huge hit single all around the world in 1968 and now in 2009 it remains one of The Beatles best known and loved songs. It’s length (over 7 minutes) was groundbreaking at the time and for many years it was the longest #1 single of all time in both the UK & US.

“Let It Be” is many people’s favorite Beatles song and it may be considered the most obvious example of a Beatles piano song so of course it’s included here. Even 40 years after it was recorded, “Let It Be” still resonates. And I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s still being listened to regularly in 2049.

We have gotten a number of emails from people inquiring how they can watch TV on the internet. Viewing television on the internet is growing very popular so we put an article together about watching live TV on the web.

Viewing TV on the internet isn’t new, but just recently it has increased dramatically in popularity because of improvements in technology and the amount of channels. Before it was very challenging to find any of the most popular channels and the quality was extremely poor.

These days the quality and amount of TV channels online is incredible. Admittedly I’m not accustomed to viewing TV on the net, but when I was researching online TV for this article I was highly impressed with what I found.

So how can you watch live TV on the net?

It is possible to say anything new about the Boss that hasn’t been said over the past thirty years of heat-felt rock and roll? The man is more than New Jersey’s favorite son — he is a worldwide icon, a beacon of integrity and musicality. What is best of America Bruce embodies and that is evident to anyone who has ever seen him play his heart out live. To be in his presence as he cries out for the underdog in “Born to Run” or “Born In The USA” is to know, even for an instance, the soul of the American working class.
